A freshly painted tank looks lovely — and completely unconvincing. Nothing has clean tracks after crossing a battlefield. Dark Earth is Green Stuff World's liquid answer to messy dry pigments: a water-based, deep earthy brown that brushes straight on and dries to a matte, dusty finish that stays put without a fixer spray in sight.
Best for
Dusting tank tracks, lower hulls, boots and cloak hems with dried mud
Thinning with water into subtle earthy washes for recesses and basing
Airbrushing layered road dust across vehicles and scenery
Grubbying up bases so your minis look like they've actually been somewhere
Being water-based it's non-toxic, has no solvent stink, and cleans off your brushes with plain water — weathering without the faff.
