The Fang is a cold, dark grey-blue — the Space Wolves staple and a superb base for stormy skies, steel-grey armour and chilly, muted schemes. Opaque and even, it gives you a moody foundation with plenty of room to highlight up.
Best for
Laying a solid, opaque foundation in one or two coats
Blocking in grey-blue armour, cloth and stormy skies
Taking layer highlights and shade washes cleanly over the top
Get it down early and the rest of the model builds faster — cool grey highlights read far better over a dark, even base.
Get it down early and the whole model builds faster. Fill out your base paints, then move up through the layer range — and grab a brush while you're here.
