A hard-working modern grey with a long service record. Medium Blue Grey FS 35237 shows up across US Navy tactical schemes from the 1980s onwards and on USMC helicopters, and it's the current overall colour of the German Air Force's Tornado and Eurofighter Typhoon fleets. If you're building modern jets or rotary, it's a colour you'll reach for again and again.
Best for
US Navy tactical paint schemes from the 1980s to today
USMC helicopters and AV-8B Harrier II lower surfaces
German Air Force Tornado and Eurofighter Typhoon
It sprays fine enough for scale colour on 1/72 jets yet covers cleanly on bigger 1/32 airframes — a proper do-it-all modern grey.
One grey, decades of modern airpower. Thin it with High Compatibility Thinner and dig into the wider AK Real Colors range.
