There's a particular colour late-summer fields turn just before harvest — not green, not quite gold — and Gamers Grass Golden Yellow 2mm tufts nail it. It's the tuft of choice for painters building sun-baked plains, ripened crop fields, or the heraldic golden grasslands that suit Cities of Sigmar and other bright fantasy armies.
Best for
Sun-baked plains and ripened crop fields
Bright fantasy bases — Cities of Sigmar and similar golden colour schemes
Lifting a base that needs a warm, sunlit accent
A scatter of these tufts reads as fields caught at their most golden moment, right before the harvest.
