Games Workshop revealed the seven Warhammer 40,000 Christmas Battleforces on 19 October, and said the Age of Sigmar Battleforces would be shown separately. As of 22 October 2026, the Age of Sigmar Christmas boxes have not been revealed. This page collects everything that is actually known so far, what previous years tell us about timing and contents, and how to be ready for pre-order day. We will update it the day GW shows the boxes.

Age of Sigmar Christmas boxes 2026: the key facts

When will the Age of Sigmar Battleforces be revealed?
GW hasn't given a date. The last two years are a useful guide, though this year has already broken the pattern:
- 2024: four Age of Sigmar Battleforces were previewed in early October, a month before the 40k boxes were shown.
- 2025: four Age of Sigmar boxes were revealed on 6 October, went up for pre-order in mid-November and were released at the end of November.
- 2026: the 40k boxes came first, on 19 October, with Age of Sigmar to follow.
Our best guess is that the Age of Sigmar boxes will be shown soon and go up for pre-order alongside, or close to, the 40k boxes in November. That is our reading of past years, not a date from GW, so check back here for the confirmed one.
Last year's Age of Sigmar Christmas boxes (2025)
If you want an idea of what to expect, these were the four Age of Sigmar Battleforces in 2025:
- Skaven: Skryre Warpswarm. An Arch-Warlock leading 20 Stormvermin, backed by Ratling Warpblaster, Warplock Jezzail, Acolyte Globadier and Warpspark Weapon Battery teams.
- Soulblight Gravelords: Lances of the Crimson Keep. Prince Vhordrai on his dragon, 10 Blood Knights and three Fell Bats.
- Gloomspite Gitz: Dankhold Rampage. Trugg the Troggoth King, a Dankhold Troggboss, six Rockgut Troggoths and three Fellwater Troggoths.
- Sylvaneth: Outcast Spitegrove. Drycha Hamadreth, a Spirit of Durthu, 15 Spite-Revenants and 20 Dryads.
And in 2024 the four were Cities of Sigmar: Founding Foray, Flesh-eater Courts: Charnelgrand Jury, Ironjawz: Wrekkamob and Maggotkin of Nurgle: Shudderblight Cyst.
What to expect from the 2026 boxes
Nothing below is confirmed. It is what the last two years have in common, so treat it as a rough guide rather than a prediction:
- Around four boxes. Both 2024 and 2025 had four Age of Sigmar Battleforces, against seven or more for 40k.
- A big centrepiece in most boxes. A named character or a large monster, such as Vhordrai's dragon or Drycha, usually anchors the box.
- A spread of Grand Alliances. Each year has mixed Order, Chaos, Death and Destruction rather than doubling up on one.
- Factions with recent attention. Armies with a new or upcoming battletome often get a box. Our Age of Sigmar Battletome Roadmap tracks which ones are due.
How to get ready for pre-order day
Battleforces have tended to be limited runs that sell through quickly, so it pays to have a plan:
- Pick your army now: not sure which faction suits you? Take our Age of Sigmar faction quiz, or read 40k or Age of Sigmar? if you are still choosing a game.
- Free up budget: trade in models you have stopped using through Reclamation and put the store credit towards your Battleforce.

Are there Age of Sigmar Christmas boxes in 2026?
Yes. GW has said Age of Sigmar Battleforces are coming this year, but they haven't been revealed yet. The 40k boxes were shown first, on 19 October.
How much will the Age of Sigmar Battleforces cost?
GW hasn't announced prices for any of this year's Battleforces yet, 40k or Age of Sigmar. We'll add them here as soon as they are published.
When can I pre-order them?
No date yet. In 2025 the Age of Sigmar boxes went up for pre-order in mid-November, so November is the most likely window, but wait for GW to confirm.
